Validation of Estimating Stress from Fracture Injection Tests Using Continuous Wavelet Transform with Experimental Data

The article discusses the new technique for fracture closure pressure detection using continuous wavelet transform (CWT). study focuses on calibrating CWT and comparing it with different techniques detection. According to article, traditional methods identifying of hydraulic fracturing operations are based assumptions that can conflict one another, resulting in greatly varying approximations duration. To address this issue, employs a set diagnostic injection tests utilize Step-Rate Injection Method Fracture In-Situ Properties tool (SIMFIP). By directly observing wellbore deformation, SIMFIP determines minimum principal stress, while strain gauges monitor opening closing fractures during multiple tests. publicly accessible data used evaluate accuracy CWT. findings indicate method aligns measurements deformation identify impact intricate events pre-existing natural fractures. In conclusion, suggests shows great potential as an alternative approaches detecting pressure.
